I have been thinking lately about personalizing my Twitter experience most especially in trying to keep up with the people I follow and the latest trends that my friends are talking about.
It’s not really about the numbers after all considering that I don’t necessarily get even close to 10% of my followers visiting my blog, it’s not that I care a lot about traffic coming in from Twitter but if I would to take it considerably, I must say that only a bunch of my friends do really care with what I say or broadcast on Twitter.
So, I’m taking the Twitter experience the other way around and in this regard, I’m un-following people who don’t really interact with me and those that doesn’t share the same interest in one or two ways.
I log into Twitter almost everyday but sometimes whenever I see tweets that are spammy, it really drives me away and makes me want to unfollow that person immediately. I mean, it’s okay to retweet and use web-based apps to broadcast blog posts but the point of tweeting affiliate links most of the time is rather off taste.
I have started this move today and will continue in the upcoming weeks until I have completely filtered out my following. It’s not that I’m being unfair but let’s face it; everybody needs a clutter less space somehow, right?
