I’ve been watching a lot of stuff on TV Shack for the last few weeks. Not all of it has been in good quality though, and you have to wait until people upload a show on one of the video sharing networks, and those are a pain sometimes because they limit you on the time you can watch in one session, etc.

TV Shack seems to be similar with Veoh in scope but the latter for me is much better in terms of quality. TeleViewer is more than enough to keep me abreast with the latest news and music videos so I’m cool.

I hope so. I was just thinking that maybe because their not doing it right now is they feel like getting a cut from software developers’ sales. Royalty fees are just for franchisees so I don’t think software companies producing similar software would have to engage with the idea just to stream live broadcast from known channels.

Unfortunately, none of the big TV networks broadcast over the Internet. If they did, TeleViewer would certainly contain these channels. Perhaps this will change in time.

It’s good to know that all channels are working fine however regarding those well-known ones that you were looking for (HBO, ESPN, Starworld, etc.), I even thought about that and although I have a license those channels doesn’t show up either, I’m not really sure if you could find any well-known channels on any TV software like the ones you normally see in your local cable providers, maybe there was some kind of licensing concerns that prohibit most TV software developers from distributing their content across these platforms.

There’s an option however on the software that would allow you to suggest channels (maybe online channels) for inclusion which would then be included in their next software release once approved.
