Search in Program files -> Yahoo!! -> Install.log and delete it!!! This resolved my problem for 81003002..

I’m not sure what you meant by blocked. But if you can’t access your email, try recovering your password.

Hi,
As I understand about Freegate, it normally uses a range of open proxies which allow users to penetrate firewalls used to block web sites. If this is the case, then the reason why you’re not connecting to Yahoo Messenger is because you’re behind a proxy which most of them time is prohibited by Yahoo.

You may also try Renato’s workaround above. If your country is not blocked by Yahoo and you’re just using it for privacy reasons, I’m afraid that getting rid of that proxy software should solve the error.

Let me know if you run into any errors in the future.

i was using freegate to sign on to yahoo messenger and its saying that i should check my internet connection.

pls help for i have tried all i can do to rectify it

Hi, Make sure to clear those cookies and cache before trying again to reset your password after any unsuccessful log-in. If the problem persists after subsequent trials, I’d suggest that you should contact customer care but if you don’t want to get into that procedure then, unfortunately you may have to open a new account.

last night i tried to login on my messenger but i couldn’t…it said that my id or password are wrong and it showed me this code 81003002….then i tried to login on my mail account…it said the same thing…my id or password are wrong…i tried to reset my password but i couldn’t do that either…it said something like this : Sorry, your password can’t be reset online (9024)

Hi Ela. Thanks for dropping by. If you are using Yahoo messenger v.9 it could be a bug issue and could also apply with Trillian. If you can access your account using the web interface options above then there’s really no problem with your account, it’s on the software. I wouldn’t recommend uninstalling Yahoo messenger or Trillian because like what I’ve encountered before, it just fixed itself. Should the problem persists the next day, feel free to contact me.

Hi,
I apprecite the information. My problem is now twofold. It started with Trillian not being able to log in to yahoo this morning (last night it was just fine.) So I loaded up yahoo messenger separately and it gave me this same error 81003002. Now I can’t get Trillian yahoo or Yahoo messenger to connect.

I had same problems. but it won't be correct by restarting windows or reinstall messenger. I fixed it on just one way and that was use a proxy software like Freegate. by open it or sometimes close it andre-open the freegate, yahoo messenger did work well.

Freegate is used to open gov’t. blocked sites. I find it strange how that worked for you and for that purpose but I’ll check that out when I encountered the same problem for testing. Thanks for the input.
