Going to school online is the best decision that you can make if you want to get your degree without interrupting the rest of your life. Online degrees are available in a variety of different fields from almost any school in the world. If you are looking for an advanced degree, those are being offered at some online schools as well.

Why Go To School Online?

Older students who have full-time jobs and kids to look after may not have time to go back to a physical campus to take classes at a scheduled time. Online classes can be completed on your own schedule from wherever you have an Internet connection. This means that you can go to school while your kids are napping, in between client meetings or whenever else you can squeeze a few minutes of school in.

Colleges Online Bring The Name Brand To You

The journalism program at Syracuse is among the best in the world. As a whole, Stanford is thought to be one of the best schools in the country. If you cannot afford to uproot your family, you can bring the school to you. The Internet allows you to get your degree from a big school without having to attend classes on campus. Your degree is recognized just like any other degree that you would get from the school.

Get School Over With Faster Online

Online classes don’t take an entire semester to complete. Most classes are over within a few weeks of starting. Therefore, taking classes online allows you to complete more credit hours per semester than you would otherwise be able to finish. Another benefit is that you are able to take classes during the summer months without compromising your entire schedule.

School Can Be More Affordable Online

An online degree can cost thousands less than a typical college degree. This is because you don’t have to pay for room and board, gas to get to class or for textbooks. Class materials are generally uploaded online for everyone to use. All you need to pay for are the credit hours that you use, an Internet connection and some snacks to help you stay focused while studying. Don’t think that your college career is over before it has the chance to get started.

Taking classes online gives you the chance to finish your degree program regardless of your age. If you want to work while going to school, an online degree program can be exactly what you need.

Online classifieds has opened an equal playing field for marketers and buyers to offer services ranging from education, trading, jobs to selling and buying a wide range of products. This provides small businesses and entrepreneurs an avenue to market their services and goods without having to pay huge amounts of money on print ads and other advertisements.

The most recent project that I have put out online is TripLocale, a travel website with an integrated blog that empowers people to travel. This is built with the idea in mind that traveling should be fun and that some people needs a little boost of empowerment to overcome their fear of traveling.

The challenge of putting up a website like this is tremendous especially with the massive number of travel websites and blogs on the internet. I think what sets apart TripLocale from the rest is that is speaks about proven travel advices and tips coming from my travel agency background.

Yours truly has worked in the travel business as an outsourced travel specialist and airline reservations agent for two and a half years before embarking into web development.

Working in the travel industry is very exciting and it’s a fast paced environment.

TripLocale Blog is the output of my travel agency experience where you can read all my travel tips based on facts and real-life situations encountered by travelers that call the outsourced hotline.

I think it’s the most practical and genuine in every sense of the word. Not just something that any writer just made up or fabricated.

I’m very proud of the website and how it turned out after working on it for more than a month designing its layout and content among other things.

At the moment, TripLocale has affiliations with the biggest names in the travel industry—Expedia, Travelocity, Priceline, Lufthansa, British Airways, Emirates, Radisson, and many others.

I would definitely be delighted if you would come and visit the website at

Is your company merging or acquired by another?

June 29, 2012 | By | Reply More

Reading time: 2 – 2 minutes

Back in the days when I was still in the manufacturing industry, merging companies nor acquisitions was much of a move until the recent recession that has shaken the world entirely. Even worse is the bankruptcy left and right that made mergers and acquisitions possible.

As the world tries to forget the downhill collapse due to the recession, there are still some companies who opt to merge with another or some buy out another in order to sustain their business or in one hand, expand respectively.

valence groupThe chemical industry is not an exception to these industry movements. As parties come into an agreement, they can however consider the guidance of a Chemical M&A firm like Valence Group.

Chemical Mergers and Acquisitions advisors provide services to companies and investors exclusively in the chemicals, materials and related sectors.

These advisors have the capability of providing sound recommendations and advice in the areas which relate to the Chemical industry sectors among which includes Environmental Liabilities, Operation Carve-outs, Ongoing Supply Agreements, Off-take Agreements, Site Operating Agreements, Regulatory Constraints, and Intellectual Property including Non-Competes.

While merging and /or acquisition process takes a heavy turn on the business and employees, this business move is still favorable for both parties. It can be a little shaky at first however, in the long run, it’s all about sustainability in the industry.

Back in the days, flashcards are pretty much a fad to grade school teachers. I could even remember even my high school Algebra teacher uses flash cards to teach negative and positive integers.

Basically, flashcards are not just some piece of paper but they are really helpful pieces of card board used for instructional purposes. While people nowadays hold tablets in their hands to teach, a flashcard still wins by a mile in mobility and convenience.

flashcardsThere are many online flashcards where educators and moms can get for free, some are even paid for. A more advance user though can make use of flash card software for the same purpose. Of course, nothing beats the free stuff. offers online flashcard making for free. All you need to do is follow a simple procedure and voila, a flashcard just for your specific purpose!

6 Reasons Why Localized Domains Are Better Than Generic TLDs

December 10, 2010 | By | 3 Replies More

Reading time: 2 – 3 minutes

Webmasters have long been attracted to the .com and .net TLDs since the web started to boom but as the web evolves and the battle for search engine rankings become highly coveted, online users are coming up with a more specific search criteria that most of the search engine results pages could not perfect and due to the vast amount of online information, the advantage of local domains are taking place.

Bloggers and web developers who are targeting the local audience are considering domain search under the local domain extension such as .ph for Philippines or .ca for Canada and for the UK. Almost every domain name right now has its local counterparts especially with big ecommerce sites and domain name search is becoming much of a burden but regardless, the returns are more appealing because of these reasons:

1. Since local domains are geared toward local users or audiences, small businesses benefit on organic searches and since they are geo-targeted, most results can help users find establishments in the local area being the listing first on the serps.

2. As mentioned earlier, since big businesses have local counterparts, it’s sometimes easier for them to extend scope and gather more eyes since some local directories only accept local domain listings.

3. Geo-location affects search engine results and this impacts the number of clicks a site gets and since local domains are targeted, they get more leads instead.

4. While local domains are geared towards target market, this not only boost business presence but also link popularity. Sites in the same geographical area are more likely to link to a website in the same geographical area thus getting more link juice from local sources.

5. The mere fact that localized domains attract more links, they also have the more powerful internal links. As per SEO value, internal links are helpful in keeping the link juice from flowing within the pages of a site.

6. Though Google favors the .com being a TLD (top-level domain), in terms of today’s search algorithm, a local domain normally outranks a .com site with the same content on local search results pages or local versions of search.

The advantages of localized search are becoming apparent as businesses become more locale and specific. With search results rankings becoming more competitive than ever, the shifting of focus on this area gives much hope for smaller businesses and startups to gain momentum and survive in this sluggish economic conditions.

Web Hosting Service in Focus: Webhostinghub.Com

Reading time: 2 – 3 minutes

Successful businesses with solid online presence and continuous business activity rely on reliable web hosting services. Nothing is comparable with dependable hosting offering seamless services and guaranteed up-time especially when traffic spikes happen.

There has been an endless debate as to which web hosting provider makes the happiest customers on the web as proven by the many web hosting review sites coming up with real and sometimes commissioned reviews of service providers.

Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Drupal or Joomla serves as a platform for blog content creation and one of the main components included in blog hosting packages. One-click script installation in cPanel for most services provides a quicker way of starting up the site and in just a matter of minutes, dynamic websites are born.

A site with static content however benefits the most through the help of a website builder normally on WYSIWYG interface.

Along side these features comes unlimited email addresses, secured POP3/IMAP/SMTP mailing capabilities, spam protection, auto-responders, and mobile device compatible emails.

Ecommerce tools include the Zen Cart, Cube Cart, OS Commerce among others. Forum software includes PHPBB and Simple Machines Forum scripts.

All these and more are offered by web hosting hub ( to its customers. At an attractive price of $4.95 per month, you can have unlimited disk space and bandwidth, host and park unlimited websites, get a free 24/7 customer support and a free domain of your choosing.

It gets even better with an unbeatable 90-day money back guarantee which means to me that they would want you to try their service until you’re satisfied.

Getting a reliable and efficient web hosting service is a gamble itself. You will never know what it’s like until you play the game.

I’ve been in this situation many times and you tell you honestly, switching into four different web hosting services within a year is not a joke.

Do your research and consider reading some reviews about them on the internet. Try to weigh the good from the bad reviews and think carefully which matters to you and pay only for what you need to avoid over spending.

Enjoy your web hosting hunt and see you at the top!

Buying electronic appliance can be confusing and gruesome especially if you have a lot of features in mind yet you’re not sure which one to buy that would really satisfy your needs and budget.

Researching information on the web could actually help however in cases wherein electronic appliances are concerned, Wikipedia couldn’t help that much but a ShopWiki will.

Are You Getting The Most Out Of Entrecard?

January 21, 2010 | By | 4 Replies More

Reading time: 2 – 4 minutes

I joined Entrecard back in February 2009, that’s when this domain was half a month old. For a few months, I’ve been getting some traffic from the system and it was worth it. Being active on the network can provide benefits but not to the extent that you can rely on something consistent because if you don’t drop (that’s visiting another blog and clicking on their widget), you don’t get one in return. I should say it’s a give and take system of generating traffic.

Few months later, Entrecard was shaken up a bit thus resulting from Graham’s untimely exodus and ZipRunner taking over.

Transition has been smooth afterward but I’ve noticed that only a small portion of blogs on the network are continuously being updated while the rest are just abandoned as usual. Although my hopes are high when I last logged-in that somehow things may change for the better in terms of getting traffic from the network, I’ve finally proven that the system no longer works to my advantage.

Everything is just automated. Bloggers can just easily accept and reject ads into their account without the need to login. Widgets get replaced every now and then but there isn’t any click or visitors coming from the network itself. I wonder if there are still bloggers scheming through the network and visits blogs like it was sometime ago.

Google Analytics never lie in terms of stats and believe it or not, Entrecard hasn’t given me any visit for the last month or even earlier. Now, Entrecard is raving about accepting websites into the system based on its latest newsletter update. This is just going to be another move that’s not bringing much benefit to bloggers.

Entrecard is becoming less and less relevant with the advent of social media and its dynamism is dwindling. The fact that RSS feed profiles of blogs are not even clickable on its interface, it doesn’t even share some link juice. More or less, it’s becoming more of a blog directory now.

Lately, I’ve been thinking of giving up on Entrecard not ‘til I finally get an idea how to dispatch all the EC credits I have on my account. I know that there are a bunch of folks out there that can still make use of it somehow.

These days, if you’re someone whose really up to getting the most out of your marketing efforts and traffic is one of them, you wouldn’t settle for anything less. I don’t even get much from Twitter but compared to Entrecard, it’s better to have some than nothing. Other than not getting visits, the widget is making my page loading too slow. In fact, among the http requests that my site does each time, it’s always the least to show.

Will my future decision to leave Entrecard do me any good? What do you think? Are you getting the most out of Entrecard with less the effort? Share your story.

Google Pagerank Tsunami Hits the Last Days of 2009!

December 31, 2009 | By | 10 Replies More

Reading time: 2 – 3 minutes

I just came across a very unpleasing revelation to end the year however it’s just part of every blogger or webmaster’s life to be hit by Google once in a while or maybe frequently for some.

The Google pagerank of this blog has been stripped a notch and is now down to 3 from the previous 4 which isn’t giving me a totally happy face to end the year. My other friends’ blogs have also been stripped with their page ranks however I’m not going to tell who because it’s up for them to find out.

Google’s nasty caffeinated algorithm had finally taken its toll and is mercilessly affecting sites on shared hosting as they have advocated page loading speed as an added factor to rank in 2010. I’m not surprised that is this going to happen however this exaggerated move isn’t helping the web but it’s killing the content delivery networks especially blogs the benefit of ranking for highly relevant page positions that provides more quality content than static pages.

If this scenario continues to toll and blogs being hit left and right, I’m afraid the end is near for “quality content” but an unprecedented era of low quality content pages but optimized for speed ranking on the first page of Google.

Matt Cutts is definitely wrong in saying that Google will have its update by 2010 however its pretty clear that one of its data centers is doing otherwise.

Surprised? Yes I am. But life must go on and as long as I still have a day left to say goodbye to 2009, my hopes are still high and positive that somehow I’m just saying adios (goodbye) to all the challenging days of the year that’s coming to a close.

Have you been hit by Google’s latest pagerank wave? How will this change affect your perspective of 2010 in terms of search?

Online Auctions Made Cheaper by

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Bidazzled. All opinions are 100% mine.

Bidding on eBay is quite frustrating at times especially when you’re budget stricken and close enough to winning when all of sudden somebody comes in and topped your bid. How ugly can that situation be? I can barely imagine what your reaction would be like.

However, these days, we don’t always have to settle to one option because there are other resources to tap especially in these trying times; people would always find a way to spend-thrift no matter how.

Why not try a less stressful bidding process where you could win the gadget you can only dream of getting from your wish list while at the same time help a charitable cause? Isn’t that amazing?

Penny Auctions or Pay-Per-Bid auction sites like Bidazzled does it best. In this setup, bids are purchased in advance and used to bid on merchandise. Each bid increases the price just a few cents while at the same time adding additional seconds to the countdown timer which then provides ample time for others to bid. Basically, like any other bidding process, auction ends when time runs out and nobody else bids which also means that if a Macbook Pro ends at a dollar, you’ll get it just for a dollar!

Bidazzled is generally designed and created to fund a charity for lung cancer also known as The Ruch Foundation (

In case you lose in the bidding, you’ll receive up to 50 Bonus bids and if you win, Bidazzled will typically make an offer to buy the item back for either cash via Paypal or check, bid points or a combination thereof.

Signing up already gives you 5 bonus bids or free bids so you can start bidding. Additional 15 bidding credits is provided by this blog as a special offer by using the codes below when you sign up on the registration page until January 15th.

* Blog: BBP1202A
* Twitter: BTP1202A

Bids normally cost $1 at Bidazzled and are available for purchase in bid packs as low as $25 plus bonus bids upon purchase. Member can also earn extra bonus bids by referring friends and each referral gives 1 bid credit up to five levels deep.

A one-of-a-kind bidding or auctioning platform you wouldn’t want to miss. So try it out and see for yourself. If you can’t get your holiday wish list on eBay, why not try it here?

Websites to Watch Live Online Concert Streaming and Recorded Shows

December 17, 2009 | By | 1 Reply More

Reading time: 3 – 5 minutes

Last October 25th, the world has witnessed the very first live concert streaming in history simulcast across five continents via YouTube featuring the phenomenal rock band U2 staged at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.

Your truly was able to watch the concert though I’m not a U2 fan, I appreciated the effort that they put into that milestone which afterward became the next big thing in online media streaming following its massive success.

In connection with this new and rather vibrant concept of talent showcase, the following post will feature websites where you can get live concert streaming and pre-corded tours and events that are both upcoming and from the not-so-distant past and get to listen to concert recordings.

For upcoming live streamed concert events, you can rely on which showcases soon to be shown live concert feeds right at the comfort of your computer.

To travel back in the days when John Lennon and Yoko Ono are together singing some songs and the likes of Bob Dylan & The Band, you can consult the concert vault of for classic collection of concert performances from your favorite artists however the site only has the massive collection of concert recordings and not videos but great enough for an avid fan who loves listening to music. A great site to unwind and reminisce the old times through songs from the musical geniuses of the past and present generation. On a side note, in order to be able to listen to the live concert recordings, one must first sign-up for an account.

Live Concerts Upcoming and Past

Live Concerts Upcoming and Past

One of the best songs of all time (or maybe my personal favorites) include Paul McCartney’s The Long And Winding Road, Let It Be, Hey Jude, and Yesterday. I’ve embed one of the songs below for your listening pleasure.

Current artists and their performances however can be easily viewed via AOL Live Concerts page readily available for viewing while offers a vast collection of live recorded concert performances of various bands from different decades which you surely would enjoy in case you’ve missed some of them.

For the meantime, those are the handy resources I was able to find out online so just incase you have some suggestions or sites you’d like to add, just leave it at the comments section.

At present, watching live streaming concerts on would require speeds of at least 350Kbps which is quite disappointing aside from the fact that it requires you to download Microsoft Silverlight before you could even view the player screen. “Two-thumbs down!”

Discount Software for Online Buyers

December 16, 2009 | By | Reply More

Reading time: 1 – 2 minutes

Lately, I have been featuring e-commerce stores where people can buy different items at discounted price from ladies bags to jewelries but this time, I’m going to be talking about discount software sites offering cheap computer software for online buyers.

The holiday season is just around the corner and while people from all over search for software discount of at least ten percent, the buyer who’s willing to buy a hundred dollar or more priced item would definitely love to get that ten percent cut since it can already be considered a big bonus.

Just imagine how much you can actually save by purchasing discounted software online than buying it from your local store minus cost of traveling and the time it consumes?

If I were to choose between buying software online and from the store, I’d rather choose the former because first of all, it’s very convenient and somewhat cheaper plus you can actually get immediate support right away in case there would be problems compared to buying it from the store and then returning it back in case something goes wrong which can be a huge hassle that anybody wouldn’t want to get into. What do you think? In your opinion, do you think it’s better to buy software online or from a store?

YouTube Grows a Feather but Still Can’t Fly

Reading time: 1 – 2 minutes

If you ever tried watching video on YouTube on dial-up, I would assume that it almost takes forever to wait for the buffer to finish before you could watch a decent 10 minute video.

You must have heard of Google’s madness over speed as a ranking factor for 2010 so definitely it follows that they’ll also try to speed things up within their circle including YouTube which is not at all surprising.

In line with that aim, YouTube through its blog recently revealed its plans of speeding up video viewing and playback by introducing Feather via TestTube, YouTube’s testing ground and idea haven.

Opting-in for Feather Beta is really easy by going to this link and opting-out is also breeze. The interface is pretty much simple, you’ll miss some options though like resizing video embed options as well as related video counts at minimum however despite all those simplicity, it wasn’t that much promising.

I’m using a simple local broadband network fairly decent enough to deliver streaming videos but I’m afraid Feather isn’t light after all. Maybe because it’s still in Beta which is understandable, regardless it has a long way to go.

Having fun while at the same time doing the things you love is definitely rewarding. Who wouldn’t want that? It may be too good to be true these days but believe me, it still happens and it’s possible.

I’m not really a fan of MMORPG (Massively multiplayer online role-playing game) but online flash multiplayer trivia games are addicting. It’s basically different from MMORPG because first, they are not role-playing games and second they are informative and entertaining.

What more can you get if you could play trivia games with players all over the world and compete to answer trivia questions while at the same time earn some revenue while inviting your friends to join. Isn’t that awesome?

I have recently found out that is was possible through ChaosTrivia, joining is pretty simple and easy but the most important part is definitely having fun and earning something from referrals is just an added bonus.

So if you’re on to doing something enjoyable during your free time, why not play trivia games with friends? I’m sure you’ll definitely get hooked into it like I do. Click the link below to get started.

Brand Attachment for Fancy Bags This Holiday Season

December 3, 2009 | By | Reply More

Reading time: 2 – 2 minutes

As you can see, I’ve just tweaked my theme to match the season of merry-making and part of that is also featuring great sites where you can buy the savviest and the fanciest gift items for your loved ones this Christmas.

After all, it’s a season of giving so why should I not share e-commerce sites which I think isn’t that expensive however there can always be exceptions and for people who dig louis vuitton, the luxury of having louis vuitton handbags is something worth spending if not ego boosting. I know some of you may raise their eye brows but the truth is; there are people so brand attached that they tend to patronize them whatever the cost can be.

Socialites who can afford louis vuitton bags simply fancy having the brand attached to them. We really cannot say that it’s insane to buy such pieces of expensive material things at this time of day but let’s face it; people have different values and likes.

Our attachments to brands are largely influenced by our experience although it varies due to so many factors, one thing that I could think of is a consumer expectation that has been exceed by the brand manufacturer otherwise, I couldn’t see any reason why a consumer would ever stick to the same brand or better yet brand loyalty would even sprung out marketing dictionaries.

Do you have any thoughts you’d like to share?

The ecommerce shop which showcases gorgeous links london proudly boasts of having is a master class of interconnected fine pieces of silver and gold jewels raging from bracelets, charms, necklaces, chains, earrings, and rings that are too captivating to the eyes.

Purchasing items from the site is not a problem because it accepts the most commonly used monetary units such as US, Australian and Canadian dollars, Euro, and British pounds.

A wide range of selections can be found on the site that allows even the most meticulous lady to get the hang out of every single piece of gem available on sale with much scrutiny. Romantic guys can also take advantage of the fine pieces for giveaways to their loved ones this holiday season.

A Christmas Carol Free Audio Download for All Ages

December 2, 2009 | By | 7 Replies More

Reading time: 4 – 6 minutes

Most of you might have already read about the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present and Yet-to-Come on the most critically acclaimed book by Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol which first went out on 19th December 1843 with illustrations created by John Leech featuring the life of Ebenezer Scrooge, you definitely know this guy don’t you?

But if in case you don’t, allow me to be a little bit redundant here, or course, you might as well want to share this stuff to your kids. Scrooge, the main character in the novella (a written narrative often fictional which is shorter than a novel but longer than a novelette), originally, A Christmas Carol in Prose, Being a Ghost Story of Christmas, was a greedy, tight fisted, and cold-hearted man who despises Christmas and all other things that engenders happiness.

He then eventually finds salvation after a change of heart. You definitely know what made him change, don’t you?

Charles Dickens - A Christmas Carol-Title page First edition 1843

Charles Dickens - A Christmas Carol-Title page First edition 1843

A Christmas Carol has been a living treasure and its timeliness often brings back everyone to it during Christmas season. The story has been immortalized countless times all over the world in fact; one of the latest additions was Walt Disney’s “A Christmas Carol” on digital 3D portrayed by actor comedian Jim Carrey (see movie trailer below).

If you loved the movie on IMAX, or in print, you might have also fallen in love with the audio too. There are a lot of audio books out there that have already created versions of the story but what I’ve actually came across is a free downloadable audio recording of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens on, a dramatic pantomime audio presentation adapted by Mike Betteridge of The Working Space Theatre Company.

The downloadable audio comes in three downloadable parts which also comes with a written text. The audio was clear and the presentation is vividly done by Natasha and Robert Maloney, who performed as Scrooge.

Christmas being the most celebrated season all over the world doesn’t just come in handy with those great, fancy, and expensive stuff, we have to focus on what does the season holds for us. Oftentimes, we tend to switch our ways and sometimes our persona just to blend well with the season but after that, we’re back to our old ways.

Offline, we have our loved ones and friends who are always there for us no matter what and this day is certainly for them and for everyone else who needs special attention and care.

Online, we have our social networking friends and even blogging friends. I don’t really understand why social media is so hyped that even if you have thousands of fans on Facebook, or tons of followers on Twitter, does that all respond or care about you? The interaction is very limited but just a single non-automated message saying hi or hello would be fair enough to think that this person is extending a hand, so why should I not take it.

Webmasters and bloggers who often interact on this virtual world of the web must realize that we’re all in one place. Forget our egos and obsessions with rank and stats. Why can’t we just be ourselves? Google doesn’t care about you. The bots does not have a heart and emotion to pat you on your back when you’re doing well or comfort you when you’re feeling bad. Only humans—your blogging friends, your visitors and those people who message you and interacts with you in all possible ways are the ones who really care.

Do we have to experience Scrooge’s horrible nightmares before we even start to act? What do you say?

I have always been an advocate of great content and ever since I started blogging, providing value especially to my readers has been a top priority that’s why I intended to place job-related banners on my sidebar in order to give back to my readers some valuable stuff and not just mere revenue regenerating ads.

Along with that advocacy, this time, I’m featuring a newly established job site where Elgg savvy people looking for Elgg jobs and talent-seekers unite. In case you’ve never heard of the term Elgg, it refers to an open source social networking platform or software similar to Joomla and Drupal in many aspects such as codebase, content creation like blogs, and media sharing among others.

Web Talk: Debt Consolidation Review Sites

November 29, 2009 | By | Reply More

Reading time: 2 – 2 minutes

If you haven’t noticed recently, I have been discussing review websites from web hosting and cars simply because its part of redefining this blog’s description which includes featuring online resources or websites which I think would be very helpful to my growing number of diverse readers.

This time, I’ll be focusing a little bit about financial matters which I know that every one of us go through each day. I’ve loaned some amount back when I was in the corporate setting. It was quite tough though especially when you’re thinking about paying the premium or worse including the interest every month.

Considering that you have a lot of loans, you can jump into the idea of securing a debt consolidation plan to pay off those multiple loans into one. This measure works on getting a lower interest rate, a fixed interest rate, or to simply manage your loans easily.

While debt consolidation works in getting a secured loan against an asset that serves as collateral, collateralization of the loan allows the user to do a forced sale (e.g. foreclosure for houses) in order to pay back the loan thus resulting to lower interest rates and reduced risks plus transitioning unsecured debts to a secured one.

This debt financial process is not only applicable to loans but also for credit card debts. Third party companies consolidate the payments into one single amount and take care of the correspondence with the lenders.

If you’re looking at the option of getting yourself, family or a friend a consolidation service, you may visit one of the leading debt consolidation sites for shared experiences straight from those people who have acquired the service.

Please be advised that you always have to make intelligent decisions when it comes to financial matters especially when paying off debts.

Online Resource for the Car Savvy

I would like to make way for something a little bit off topic this time however this would be something helpful for those of you who were fond of cars and are looking for valuable online resource for tips and reviews which would help you get some ideas and thoughts about the latest car trends today.

Among the fanciest cars nowadays include lexus es which showcases the conservative look of the 2008 model; the cadillac escalade which still remains to be one of the flashiest SUVs on the road; and not to forget 2010’s bmw m3 for it’s pretty savvy exterior design.

Most car review sites include car insurance provider options, a classified ads section for those people who are selling their cars or searching for something to buy, financial assistance for those on a tight budget but are eager to spend, car care tips for the road user and access to the latest industry news and releases.

Car review websites like not only offers reviews but also news, photos and car shows which of course motoring enthusiasts will definitely love.

If buying a car is something that you’d considering doing next time, then the help of a car review site is a great avenue to look at.

Have you considered visiting car review sites before? Do you find them helpful?

The Power That Has Bing?

November 13, 2009 | By | 8 Replies More

Reading time: 2 – 4 minutes

I have been taking a constant look at how Bing has been trying to improve its algorithm and performance. In fact, the recent blog post by Chris Crum even noted some features that are pretty much savvy and to come up with a tasked-focused version, interactive Instant Answer, and more localized search and their use of the Wolfram Alpha’s algorithms which will power the novice search engine’s results for nutritional information and math searches is an intelligent move.

These all sound very fascinating but my stance on Bing’s power is less superior to Google. I rarely use Bing and what’s unsavory about this search engine is that webmasters are required to have an account with Hotmail, MSN or Live in order to submit a sitemap. While that may sound fair since Google does the same thing, problems signing up with a free Live, MSN or Hotmail account has long been unresolved. It’s like nobody’s even there to answer support tickets and the horrible system has failed me to do so countless of times.

I don’t know for a reason why I cannot signup for a Hotmail account when in fact I’ve done all possible means and it freaks me out that their knowledgebase and ticketing system is full of trash.

Testing Bing using Software Critics as the search term, it did show up a very unfavorable result with a Twitter user using Software_Critic as username appearing on top of the list. Mine landed fourth not with the homepage but showing a certain post which is disgusting (see screenshot below).

Bing results for Software Critics

Bing results for Software Critics

Bing results are comparatively mediocre than with Google (shown below) or Yahoo. If they really wanted to be relatively satisfying and relevant, search results should be improved and the same time to find out ways wherein webmasters can submit their sitemap fairly with ease.

Do you find Bing search relevant and helpful? Or useless and awful?

Weekend Blog Feature: Potpolitics

Today’s blog spotlight features Potpolitics by John Sullivan. If you haven’t known yet, he’s the great guy behind every straight-forward post and thought-provoking ramblings at

I once guest posted on his blog which was also my first time to do one. I was glad that he didn’t reject me although I haven’t really tried guest posting on other blogs other than his. John isn’t the normal kind of blogger that would make your feel small or intimidated despite his blogging successes because he doesn’t have that ego. He’s very vocal as he writes whatever’s on his mind from topics of just about anything. His unique writing style draws him a lot of following.

Messing up with this guy is not a good idea (so don’t ever attempt) but once you are allies with him, then you are sure that he has your support. I’ve made the switch to a do follow blog via his influence but he didn’t convince me at all.

So, what are you waiting for? Head on to and see for yourself or follow John on Twitter to check out what he has to say.

For people who are just clueless on why they are still single at their age have a lot of reasons be one. It really doesn’t mean that you are to take a relationship too seriously or must take a look at getting your life settled for good like getting married. Sometimes, having a special someone creates balance between work and your personal life.

Quiz brought to you by Online Dating

The internet alone offers tons of dating sites both local and international with the ability to interact with its members via chat and email among other means and could either be free or paid. There are also some web services that offer interactive applications engaging users to answer some questions that often provide thought provoking results, humorous but rather rhetorical questions yet most of the time  entertaining.

With most of them being flash-based widgets, you can easily get hooked into it and the moment you get your results depending on your given answers, you simply can’t resist but laugh at yourself because generally most are true. Majority of interactive quizzes talk about personality, relationships, and intelligence to name a few. One of the most interesting ones I have ever come across was this interactive singles quiz website having just 7 questions that squeezes up your inputs resulting into a nifty widget that you can place on your site or blog plus a short statement of truism presented comically because of the funny graphics.

A definitely “must try” web-based application. I’ve tried it myself and the result is obvious, the image above tells it.

Can Yahoo Meme Takeover Twitter?

September 18, 2009 | By | 18 Replies More

Reading time: 2 – 3 minutes

Most of you may be aware of the hype that Twitter has been getting these past few years and generally this microblogging platform has indeed changed the way information is shared on the web and how it’s constantly evolving the social media scene.

The network of millions of Tweeters all over the world is as enormous as the applications serving the platform for its users. I even jumped into the bandwagon since I started blogging and as I can see it, Twitter has really gone a long way despite the huge negative feedbacks from the internet media and attacks to the system by the hackers of cyberspace.

Just recently, we came to know that Yahoo has been putting up with something similar to Twitter and now that it has finally gone live. I would like to share with you some tidbits of information about it.

What is Yahoo Meme?

Yahoo Meme (link removed due to 403 errors detected mainly because of privilege-only access) is a service that allows users to share whatever they find interesting on the web—text, photo, video and music all-in-one completely organized tabs which you can find on the dashboard.

Yahoo Meme Dashboard

Yahoo Meme Dashboard

Yahoo hopes to make Meme as an efficient memeplex where fragments of information multiply and distribute, evolve or even die however maintaining its origin while giving credit to where it’s due. Once you post something on your dashboard (called a Meme), it stays with you. The credit is attached to your name, it can only get viral but it can’t be modified.

Meme’s user interface is pretty much easy but I intend not to talk about it for now. There are great features and there are some where you just might get lost. But for the sake of comparing it with Twitter, I must say that we can’t just compare something that is fresh from the oven against something that has been fairly cooked by time.

It’s too early to say where the service is heading but given Yahoo’s resources and marketing reach, we cannot discount that it can be a threat to Twitter soon. What do you think?

Veoh-ize Your Weekend Online Movie Viewing Habits

September 14, 2009 | By | 1 Reply More

Reading time: 2 – 4 minutes

As an online movie buff, I normally spend the weekend watching online movies on free websites. For those of you who might have missed, here again is my post entitled, Ten Most Admired Websites to Watch Online Movies for Free.

This subsequent post however is something I cannot consider a sequel but perhaps a great tip that I could share. If you have visited some of the online movie sites I recommended, some of the links to the videos are hosted on Veoh.

Veoh is an independent Internet Television Broadcasting System founded by Dmitry Shapiro in 2004. Veoh functions as a peer-to-peer distribution network with technology relying on the Internet with broadcast quality video content similar to Fancast but slightly different from DailyMotion and YouTube.

Whenever you encounter a movie link redirecting to Veoh, the player window normally shows just a five minute preview and right below is a message encouraging you to download the Veoh Video Compass and Web Player so you can watch the full length video. Once you completed the download and activated the player, all you need to do is refresh the page and voila! You can now enjoy the full length video be it a three hour movie!

Veoh Video Compass

Veoh Video Compass

The Veoh Video Compass allows seemless browsing of videos on the internet as you search by providing related video clip suggestions based on your search terms (works well with Firefox and Internet Explorer).

Veoh Web Player

Veoh Web Player

Once you’re able to choose the video, the Veoh Web Player then plays it in full, no account necessary and works on all browsers. For best results, set the Veoh Web Player to run at setup. You can visit anytime without having to register, simply watch and click.

If you’re not yet on Veoh, you’re missing out all the fun! It’s time for my pop corn. Ciao!

Most of you who may not be familiar with Windows Marketplace or may have visited the site in the past but just couldn’t recall; they had transitioned from an e-commerce site to a reference site last 20 November 2008. Windows Marketplace formerly houses the links pointing to Microsoft Store, Windows Vista® Compatibility Center, and other destinations with compatible software, hardware and devices that support Microsoft platforms.

As part of this transition, the Digital Locker Service which was then affiliated with Windows Marketplace will be closed on August 31, 2009 giving way to the all new Microsoft Store. If you haven’t got the email from Microsoft, below is a sample of the email they sent.

Online Resources for Drug Abuse Treatment

August 18, 2009 | By | 2 Replies More

Reading time: 1 – 2 minutes

It may sound unusual for this blog to talk about this topic however; I certainly find this to be very helpful for local government units and organizations working against drug abuse by actively pushing awareness campaigns and rehabilitation programs.

While drug abuse can be attributed to excessive intake of non-medical and non-therapeutic drugs, it can also be linked to prescription drugs that are being taken longer than prescribed. As drugs continue to be abused, it alters a person’s behavior thereby produces psychological imbalance which are likely to cause behavioral changes and adverse physiological effects.

Although the government can be the primary source of help, individuals can also take advantage of online resources for a more personalized approach and private rehabilitation treatment. Families of drug abuse patients and the community must find treatment for drug abuse in no time in order to save these people’s lives and their future. It is not right to judge these people because they’re just victims of circumstances; they instead need our deepest understanding, guidance and support in order for them to start a new life full of hope and inspiration.

Ten Most Admired Websites To Watch Online Movies For Free

August 17, 2009 | By | 11 Replies More

Reading time: 4 – 6 minutes

Most of us are not fond of watching online movies like I do but for those who are, this comes as a big surprise. I have come up with my list of the ten (10) most admired websites to watch online movies for free. I’ve visited these sites and some of which I even had memberships with. When I’m not writing, I’m just chilling out in one of these sites to watch movies.

Movies and Popcorn

Movies and Popcorn

I seldom go to theaters so I’d rather stay home, eat popcorn while lying down my bed watching movies online. It’s pretty cool considering that you’re saving time, effort and cash and the best part is you can watch as many movies as you can. You can even take a journey into time and watch those movies that you’ve grown up watching. The only drawback I think is you may have to wait for some movies to show first in theaters before it becomes available online however there are some sites that shows the current movies several days after its first showing in theaters which was also good.

I’m not advocating that you stop watching movies in theaters, of course, the big screen is still the best. Who would ever want to miss first day of screening or even advanced screenings then brag them to your friends that you’ve watched the movie firsthand and spoiling some parts of the movie to others.

I’ve made this list merely for entertainment reasons, nothing advertorial. Watch at your own discretion. Enjoy the list. If there’s anything I’ve missed or some sites you may want to include, just leave it at the comments section. is great source of the latest and not-so-distant-past movies with links to various video sharing sites where you can watch the movies in full or segmented parts. Does not need signing-up for an account to watch movies but is necessary for help requests, suggestions and comments. has a huge archive of movie titles from different genres and decades. No sign-up required and anyone can leave comments after each movie viewed. Update: No more free movies available for viewing. boasts a great collection of movie titles however, it’s very limited to a few selections of mostly newly shown movies and those within the last ten years. Good enough for those who missed some movies shown within the year of which they have many. is a movie lovers’ social network which allows free movie downloads, watch movies, and be updated on the latest full episodes of your favorite TV shows, and other entertainment related information. Requires signing up to rate films, contact other members or movie fans, and add streaming links. Update: No longer free. No more streaming links! is also a great resource of free online movies but may not please some who are shopping for movies to watch since there is no movie categorization where you can select movie titles and genres. Page numbers and tags are the only navigation options within the site and the only way to find movies on this site is through a search form but their huge movie collection is a definite killer. Update: No more streaming links. is also a good source of great movies categorized into different genres with a blog-looking design. Update: No more streaming links. is a resource for movies, TV shows, cartoons, documentaries, live sport, and music videos. is a great site for those who are looking for variety. The website features movie selections from different genres with movies as late as the 50s. was one of the best online resources with an extensive collection of movie titles. This site is easy to navigate with an organized catalog of genres. Allows viewing of movies without an account but requires registration to leave comments and join the forums. has a great choice of movies including some highly acclaimed indie films. The website though is quite confusing at times to navigate and there’s no movie categorization with links to them however taking the time to search for a good movie will be worth it. Update: Still has streaming links but useless due to many obtrusive ads.

Beat the Web Hosting Drama: Reliable Web Hosting Rating and Review Site for Webmasters

August 7, 2009 | By | 4 Replies More

Reading time: 2 – 2 minutes

Choosing the best website hosting solution can be crucial to your website’s success. Be it a blog, an ecommerce or a business site, it is nowadays an intangible part of a webmaster’s requirement to have a reliable internet partner.

Web hosting providers play a vital part of a website’s internet presence mainly because a website needs to live and viewable on the Internet 24/7. Try to imagine an ecommerce site, if the web server goes down, how much revenue do you think might be lost if for example your site generates one thousand unique visitors a day? How many potential and repeat customers you may have lost because of the outage?

While there are so many web hosting providers and plans that cater individual needs of site owners, it all goes down to who can deliver 100% or even close when it comes to uptime. Sporadic outages are bad signs of web hosting reliability and everyone who had experience with hosting companies knows this unlike newbie site owners or webmasters.

Attractive prices and promotions are lurking the internet and new web hosting providers are sprouting like mushrooms so it’s advisable not to focus mainly on price but do a little research on your part. Normally, word-of-mouth recommendations work best. Try visiting for an extensive resource of web hosting rating and review information that will guide you in choosing the web hosting solution that will fit your needs.

Site uptime is the most important performance metric of web hosting excellence however we should not discount that there are also some factors that need to be considered like disk space, bandwidth, and data transfer allotment among others especially when choosing a web host.

If you’re wondering how much disk space you may need to require in case you’re starting up a site, the article “How Much Disk Space Do You Really Need?” can help a great deal.

ZipRunner acquires Entrecard

July 17, 2009 | By | 5 Replies More

Reading time: 2 – 4 minutes

A few weeks ago, Entrecard embraced some changes and introduced a paid ad system which will provide revenue to the site and at the same time help sustain its services to its members by accepting paid ads from both bloggers and those outside of the community.

Weeks after the introduction of the paid ad system, cash out benefits are given to its members allowing them to exchange their unused credits when they reach the minimum threshold to qualify to redeem their so called “virtual currency” also known as EC or Entrecard Credits into dollar amounts then came along the exclusion of non-entrecard members from buying ad space within the community.

The move was bold when they introduced the paid ad system wherein a wider scope of revenue generation can be acquired. However, like most changes introduced into a large community like Entrecard, it is expected that some may not vouch.

A few days ago when I’ve checked the site, it had been down for hours which was pretty unusual and that according to its founder, Graham Langdon, they have worked on the server but it should be back to normal in no time and that he had to get some sleep because of it.

Just today, Entrecard has announced full acquisition by Los Angeles based ZipRunner, Inc. something that I never saw coming and not even every single blogger out there have any idea.

Now that Entrecard had been sold out, what future does it hold for Entrecard and its thousands of members after this takeover? We certainly don’t know. One thing for sure that I know of on why Graham Langdon gave up on Entrecard and I quote,

The result is that the drive and the motivation to give Entrecard my heart and soul waned. My passion for the project subsided.

There could be a lot of factors why this happened and with the announcement alone, it can be expected that many reactions will follow—negative and positive.

If you are an Entrecarder like me, let me leave you this question, are you bothered with this transition or you are confident that it will be for the better?

News Update (18Jul09):

Andrew Te, CEO of ZipRunner, Inc. has emailed all Entrecard members with a welcome note and a tone of excitement. if you can recall, Te became its board member back when it was six months old. Like most takeover or transition of ownership, there’s always will be the andrenaline rush of enthusiasm and positivity. Amen to that and I hope it wouldn’t fade like Graham’s. Back to reality, among his words and I quote,

“In closing, I would like to reiterate that ZipRunner is looking forward to working with Entrecard users and improving Entrecard services.  I only ask that you give us a chance and your patience.  Look for great things to follow in the coming weeks, and months.”

Are we looking at drastic changes here? I can’t speak for everyone else but let’s just hope for the best.

The Paradox of Free Online Services

July 16, 2009 | By | Reply More

Reading time: 2 – 4 minutes

I was a victim not of a criminal or a scammer from cyberspace, not even of bandits or robbers of the outside world—but of deception.

Like how many times have you seen ads and promotions online that promises a free service yet upon completion of sign-up, it caught you off guarded as being a trial service? Isn’t it that disgusting and annoying for everyone to be in such a situation like I had been an hour ago. I was trying to find a service online that will allow me to send and receive faxes via email when I came to discover eFax. I find it a promising service at first and the fact that it’s bragging about providing a free service, I took the chance of getting one for myself hoping that it was genuinely free.

I took the time of getting a screen shot of the page to have a solid proof as you can see below.

eFax free account sign-up page

eFax free account sign-up page

If you will carefully read was on the sign-up page, it doesn’t clearly state the features that a free account holder can get. Unlike most web services that offer both free and paid options—these are well disclosed.

Now, here’s what makes me so annoyed. It’s not only after I have signed up and completely verified my account when this information struck my face. Have a look at this!

eFax 30-day trial

eFax 30-day trial

As you can see, it’s a complete perversion of facts intentionally used to get customers to sign-up and drive sales with a hint of deception. Why do they have to hide the eFax free account they are offering is just a 30-day trial? Are they afraid that their service might come off short that’s why they try to hide the truth or they’re simply one of those businesses trying to screw people with false positives?

Come on, customers love honest businesses and if they get what they want, they normally come back or they hold on it. End of story.

Prior to publishing this post, the free account I have had been already closed as per my request via the integrated chat service they have on the live account. They could have provided the chat service right on the signup page so questions can be thrown at them, right? If only they’ve disclosed it as a trial, it could have been better. Who knows? I might eventually upgrade my account.

Understanding file extension THB

May 13, 2009 | By | Reply More

Reading time: 2 – 2 minutes

Most people wouldn’t know and neither do I have any idea what’s a File Extension THB is all about until I came across some researches on file extensions. So, don’t be amazed if this blog tacles file extensions in some of its posts as these are fundamentals necessary in broadening data extension know-how.

Going back to .thb files, these file extensions are generally attributed to only two programs– KinuPix and Hijack Clipart. The former is used to create multimedia slideshows with images (pictures, drawings, etc.) which can also be incorporated with sound effects and provide multiple media file format outputs in .exe or auto executable file, .avi, or .html among others. It also associates the .thb extension for its skin files.  The latter is a photo editor, a converter and an enhancer in-one that renders .thb files for its generated thumbnails.

In relation to the File Extension THB with files associated only with both programs mentioned, files of the said extension or .thb file formats can likewise be opened using the XnViewer which is a graphics viewing program that supports or recognizes the .thb format along side Graphic Converter 2003. XnViewer is mainly a utility for viewing and converting graphic files while the Graphic Converter 2003 is a useful tool for converting, processing and viewing graphics.

The nature of .thb file extension is a rare find on the web and Wikipedia doesn’t even have any information regarding this file’s whereabouts however,  a much detailed discussion on can be found.

In relation to my post “Beware of Swine Flu Domain Names“, I have mentioned that F-secure has compiled a list of these newly registered “swine flu” domains which include which happens to be mentioned as well in news websites and other blogs.

I’ve also mentioned that,

“Black Hat SEO practices could be used behind unhealthy means of getting on top of search engine results as well as taking advantage of people and the current situation by selling fake drugs and all other sorts of evil cyber tactics” which can also be a possibility.

The post only mentioned as a website which happens to sell a PDF file (an ebook) entitled “Swine Flu Survival Guide” for $19.95.

It has never said nor accused that the website sells fake drugs and is a black hat SEO. It only states the presence of lurking opportunists taking advantage of the Swine Flue scare.

In fact, I’ve listed the websites and blogs that have mentioned in their articles.

Internet Scammers Ride Swine Flu’s Coattails…Another directs you to a Web site,, which offers to sell you a “Swine Flu Survival Guide” for $19.95 — credit cards and PayPal accepted.

Internet Scammers Taking Advantage Of Swine Flu Fears…Another email directs you to a web site,, which offers to sell you a “Swine Flu Survival Guide” for $19.95. Please be warned that this is a scam and you will not get any type of guide. All you are doing is supporting the scammers.

The suspected letter sent to Software Critics is over the top and rather derogatory to this blog. See attached letter below:

If this is a genuine letter, then, I would like to hear the side of the website owner about this issue. I would even volunteer myself to be the instrument to tell everyone that the site is legitimate when proven.

Again, Software Critics firmly believes that every consumer has the right to a free, accessible, and accurate information. And that no one should be deceived and manipulated with false advertisements and unproven claims.

Beware of Swine Flu Domain Names

While the Swine Flu outbreak (read Swine Flu Virus 101 for more information) has been all over the news worldwide, just in time before the news blew the center stage, it has been quite alarming as well in the internet world of domain name registration wherein most domain names with “swineflu” on it had been taken massively. In fact, F-secure has compiled a list of these newly registered “swine flu” domains.

Currently, there has been no detected spam site yet but watchful eyes are already on to these lurking opportunists taking advantage of the situation. Black Hat SEO practices could be used behind unhealthy means of getting on top of search engine results as well as taking advantage of people and the current situation by selling fake drugs and all other sorts of evil cyber tactics.

One proof of this came into public as F-Secure declares that there was this website, (see homepage screenshot below including check out page.)

Beware, be in the know and help spread the word! Worm infects Twitter overnight

April 14, 2009 | By | Reply More

Reading time: 2 – 2 minutes

Last Saturday, Twitter has reportedly been infected by a worm that hightened security concerns amongst users of the controversial micro-blogging platform. The Twitter worm is said to be anchored by a link going to the website and appeared as automatically generated tweets.

The worm exploited a cross site scripting or XSS vulnerability that changes the hyperlinks of infected profiles which are then spreadout by means of JavaScript.

Susceptiblity to the said worm is relatively high because once an account becomes infected, such accounts’ followers (avid followers, relatives, friends, co-workers, etc.) are most likely to click on the link thereby making the worm infection viral.

The scariest part is, what if this link or if something of similar nature happens in the future but through the URL shortening service (like TinyURL or, then all Twitter users will most likely be prone to malware threats and the worse part of it could be a future cellphone malware attack because  as we all know, Twitter is interoperable on cell phone and SMS messaging.

The founder of the said website, which goes by the name of Mikeyy (a.k.a. Michael Mooney), has admitted full responsibility of the worm which caused this untoward malware spread as confirmed by BNO News.

However, Twitter acted upon to remove the offending updates and block all holes that allowed the worm to spread. In addition, Twitter emphasized that no account information were compromised as part of the attack.

Are you tired of looking for a better file hosting website that gives you faster download and upload service? A bigger or even unlimited file storage and is free? Plus, it allows you to earn bucks?

If you said yes to all of these, then I highly recommend Filefactory. From their website, below are the substantial benefits each member can get:

  • Free and simple file hosting service. Allows you to host files up to 300MB for free (means 300MB maximum per file). You need to register to avail of the service and you have the option to download FileFactory Turbo Application which allows faster file uploading without having to visit the site, multiple threads, and resume download. All you need to do is open the software and voila! Uploading is just a breeze. And also, you can download your own files limitlessly.
  • Upload any type of file. You can upload movies, music, documents, images, zip files or technically, files with different file extensions.
  • Access your files anywhere. Files can be downloaded from any computer with internet access. No need for any special software installed to be able to download your files. Creating a free account and organizing files into folders is quick and easy.
  • Share your files with anyone. You can decide who you want to share your files with. You can Keep your files private, or send your download links only to friends or family. Alternatively, you can choose to share your download links on blogs, forums and social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace.
  • Handy file sharing tools. Use our handy flash widget to embed your folders or music on your blog or profile.

Updates on FileFactory:

FileFactory Rewards can earn you $20 per 10,000 downloads and pay for all file sizes above 20MB. To get a free account, simply click Filefactory signup.

Notes: I’ve been using this online file sharing website for almost a year and I find it satisfying because of its fast server downloads and uploads. However, the monetary rewards that come along the service is somewhat too good to be true but if you can manage to get 10,000 downloads then it would be much better.
