Timeline
December 2008 – Blog was established under domain name, Freestuffzfanatico.blogspot.com, as a freeware download site.
February 8, 2009 – Migrated to the WordPress platform (self-hosted) under domain name now known as SoftwareCritics.info. Topics had become more focused on software reviews, technology news, and the internet.
April 2009 – Finally gained momentum through improved traffic stats and started to receive advertisers.
September 23, 2009 – Became a Finalist for Best Technology Blog for 2009 at the 3rd Philippine Blog Awards.
What is Software Critics?
Software Critics is a blog with particular focus on software reviews and timely computer tips and tricks with an eye for the latest technology news and trends, relevant web applications, and an insightful view of startup businesses including social media.

What sets apart this blog from other technology blogs is its ingenuity to remain highly understandable in its editorial voice without sounding too technical and stiff. Although it’s expected that tech blogs will mostly use jargon or technical language that not most people can understand, Software Critics always try to lay down the facts as simple as possible while taking into consideration the majority of online readers that are faced with everyday’s dilemma on using computers especially software, websites and apps and all facets of the internet as a whole.

Who maintains this blog?
Software Critics is owned and edited by M. Matilla also known as Mathdelane, a Filipino Chemical Engineering graduate with strong passion for computer software, technology and the Internet.
Mathdelane has worked as Quality Assurance Specialist in laboratories of notable food manufacturing companies and has served most of the leading BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) corporations in the Philippines.
He currently manages a family-owned Internet Café, a web hosting start-up and passionately writes soda reviews once in a while. He’s also an avid Twitterer and a neophyte photographer with a taste for good food.
